On the 15th. The NBA has undergone significant changes since the end of December. Players signed up in the summer of this year can be changed until the deadline on February 8th. This gives the GMs significantly more trades. Who are the hottest trade candidates?
Nerlens Noel was called in to be the defensive anchor of the new Mavericks, but nothing came of it. After he arrived from Philly with great hope on the part of Dallas, he was only struck by undisciplined behaviour in Texas and is actually only used in the garbage time. Recently, a curious scene showed the role of Noel in Dallas: In the break in the game against the L. A. Clippers, he got himself a hot dog in the media building.
“I needed some energy in the middle, but I should have been smarter,”Noel explained after the faux pas. Rick Carlise took it up humorously at the press conference:”I heard the hot dogs are very good here,”but Noel seems to be downstairs with his coach due to a lack of work ethic.
Now he has been operated on his thumb and may never again slip over the Mavs’ jersey. His contract expires after this season, if Dallas wants to get something out of this misunderstanding, you are now under pressure. But since Noel has damaged his reputation and becomes a Free Agent, a good trade is unlikely.
Noel’s advisor Rich Paul is also taking care of the affairs of a certain LeBron James, so if James Noel wants to be part of his team, a deal might come up. In addition, a mobile rim protector would certainly do the roster of the cavs good.
The Boston Celtics have been associated with Noel in the past season, but Daniel Theis and Aaron Baynes have two centres in the Roster that have more than fulfilled their expectations so far. A great offer from them is therefore not to be expected.
The Cavs received: Nerlens Noel
The Mavs received: Ante Zizic, Cedi Osman
