Boxing: Fury urges doping hearing

Former boxing world champion and Klitschko champion Tyson Fury urges a quick decision in the event of his possible doping offence. The 29-year-old Englishman called on the UKAD, the British Anti-Doping Agency, to hurry. He should either be suspended for a doping offence or acquitted so that he could continue his career.

The UKAD decides on a possible doping offence Furys from 2015.It is said to have been positively tested for the anabolic steroid nandrolone.Originally, the hearing was scheduled for last May.

“My case has been under investigation for 15 months. You keep an innocent man from pursuing his passion and caring for his family,”said Tyson Fury,”every other case is negotiated within a few months, why am I being treated differently?I want to go on with my life.Wash my name clean and let me return to my old glory.”

Fury has not stood in the ring since his surprising triumph in Düsseldorf in November 2015 against Vladimir Klitschko, who has since retired. He has returned all of his World Cup belts to the WBA, IBF and WBO.

After his coup against Klitschko, Fury had caused quite a stir several times when he refused his two planned defending championships against the Ukrainian with flimsy excuses and was then tested positive for cocaine.
