Golf: Czech Masters: Kaymer fails at the cut

Former world number one Martin Kaymer (Mettmann) missed the cut at the Czech Masters.After the end of the second round, which was broken off on Friday because of a thunderstorm, Germany’s top golfer with 147 strokes was only 83rd in the classification.Two strokes were missing for Kaymer to reach the last two rounds.

Like Kaymer, Sebastian Heisele (Munich/152) and Alexander Knappe (Paderborn) also failed at the cut.Florian Fritsch (Munich) was disqualified after a mistake on his score card, but would have missed the cut with 146 strokes anyway.


The tournament in Prague is the prelude to qualifying for the Ryder Cup 2018 in Paris (28th place).till 30.September).The recently weakened Kaymer hopes to qualify for the fifth consecutive continental comparison against defending champions USA for the fifth time.
