Once again, the athletes of the Summer Olympic Games could be affected by polluted waters.

The prolonged summer rain in Tokyo caused increased bacterial growth in the water facilities of Odaiba Marine Park, where the triathlon and open water swimming competitions are scheduled for 2020.This was announced by the Organising Committee at a meeting with the International Olympic Committee (IOC) on Wednesday.
