Boxing: Boxing trainer Wegner has to be operated on

The successful boxing trainer Ulli Wegner has to be operated on. This is the result of the examinations of the 75-year-old who is in a Berlin hospital. Wegner’s prostate had been enlarged.

“I need surgery. The procedure is performed at the beginning of January. What exactly happens to the prostate is not decided until the operation,”said Wegner to the Bild-Zeitung. Wegner, who made German boxing greats such as Sven Ottke and Arthur Abraham into champions, as well as Markus Beyer and Marco Huck, had gone into treatment for persistent pain.
