According to his promoter Shelly Finkel, Deontay Wilder has agreed to the conditions for a heavyweight unification match against Anthony Joshua. The battle will therefore be fought in England towards the end of 2018.

Joshua’s promoter, Eddie Hearn, had submitted his last offer. “We agreed to Eddie’s terms and a fight in the UK,” Finkel told ESPN. Now let the Joshua side draw up a contract ready to be signed.

Joshua currently holds the titles IBF, WBA and WBO, the American Wilder is WBC Champion. In addition to the first fight, negotiations for a rematch in the USA are said to have already taken place. According to the report, this is also scheduled directly.

The winner of the fight between Wilder and Joshua will make boxing history. For the first time in the history of the four federations, a fighter would become the undisputed champion. Lennox Lewis last succeeded in this in 2000, but at that time the WBO did not belong to the world associations.
