The time has come again: The Tour de France 2018 is just around the corner and is entering its 105th edition. SPOX tells you when to start and has votes ready before the race.

The tour of France runs from 07 to 29 July 2018.

With the climbs in Alpe d’Huez, at Tourmalet and at Aubisque, the Tour de France awaits numerous race-decisive stages.

The tour begins with a 199-kilometre flat stage from Noirmoutier-en-l’Ile to Fontenay-le-Comte. After the 21st stage the tour ends in Paris.

French cycling legend Bernard Hinault demands the exclusion of four-time Tour de France winner Christopher Froome.

Froome was informed shortly after his Vuelta victory in 2017 of a positive test for the asthma drug Salbutamol and is therefore suspected of doping. Since then, Froome and his team Sky have been trying to relieve the British.

“Froome shouldn’t be on the start of the tour. Quite simply because it was tested positively,” the five-time tour winner Hinault told the French regional newspaper Ouest-France.

If Froome still participates, Hinault calls the other drivers to strike.
