Andreas Wellinger returns to the ski jump. The Olympic champion tore his cruciate ligament eleven months ago.
Ski jumping Olympic champion Andreas Wellinger has returned to the ski jump eleven months after his cruciate ligament rupture.
“I made my first jumps. It was a hard and interesting time and I want to thank you all for your support during these difficult days,” the 24-year-old wrote on Thursday in the social networks. It feels “good to be back in business”.
Wellinger had missed the entire World Cup winter after a training injury last June. In the spring he also broke his collarbone while surfing during his Australian vacation.
